Plastic Free Awareness Month at Louise Fudge Colour Salon in Heswall

What Is Plastic-Free July?

Plastic-Free July is a global movement that encourages individuals and businesses to reduce their use of single-use plastics throughout July – and beyond. With over 100 million people taking part worldwide, it’s an inspiring reminder of how small changes in daily habits can lead to lasting environmental impact.

At Louise Fudge, we’re not just embracing the challenge, we make it part of our everyday ethos.

To actively reduce our salon waste, we’ve partnered with the innovative Green Salon Collective, an organisation that specialises in salon recycling and sustainability. With their support, we recycle items that are often overlooked, like used colour tubes, foils, PPE, and plastic lids—all collected using electric or carbon-neutral transport.

This means that rather than heading to landfill, these materials are repurposed responsibly, contributing to a circular economy and reducing our carbon footprint.

As Heswall’s go-to cruelty-free colour specialist salon, we’re proud to use O&M, a professional hair colour brand that’s as kind to the planet as it is to your hair. O&M products are free from harsh chemicals and are thoughtfully packaged using eco-friendly materials, making them the perfect match for our values.

When you book a colour appointment with us, you’re choosing vibrant, lasting results that are not only cruelty-free but also better for your health and the environment.

How We’re Doing Our Bit Every Day
